Axe is an excellent choice for civil engineering work: stormwater, road designs, etc. Pleasant to work with; creative problem-solvers. They know what's expected for permitting. We've done several projects with Axe and plan to do more.

07 / 09 · Frequently asked

Answers to the questions we hear most often.

Which counties do you serve?

Whatcom and Skagit from the Bellingham office; Snohomish from the Arlington office. We routinely work with all three County permitting offices, as well as these cities on a regular basis: Bellingham, Lynden, Ferndale, Blaine, Everson, Mount Vernon, Arlington, Everett, Marysville.

How long does a single-family stormwater design take?

Two to four weeks after we have the required site info. Our fixed-fee SFR program covers every jurisdictional revision until the plan is approved — no change orders.

What does the $500 5-day feasibility include?

A written memo on stormwater outlook, critical-areas flag, and permit path for the parcel. Refunded if we miss the 5-day window.

Do you work directly with homeowners?

Yes. A substantial portion of our work is SFR stormwater for individual homeowners, usually under the fixed-fee program. We also support developers, builders, and architects on larger projects.

Are you a licensed Washington engineering firm?

Yes. Founded Bellingham, January 2017. Our principal engineers hold Washington Professional Engineer licenses.
